Honkers Motivational Half Marathon Finisher's Medal - January 12, 2014
I adore this medal, not only because it has Canada geese on it, and because the Canada geese are wearing gym shoes, and because it has the date, distance, and name of the race clearly marked on it, and because the ribbon is so informative, and because of the hefty weight of it.

I love it because it was my first half marathon.  The emotions and memories and feelings of pride that come with this accolade are priceless.

Surf City USA Half Marathon Finisher's Medal - February 2, 2014

I read that the Surf City surfboard medal is one of the top 25 finisher medals in the history of all races, so of course I had to get one!  It's pretty amazing.  I kind of wonder if a hamster could ride a wave on it.   The design definitely embodies the theme of the race and the feelings I feel when I think back to my experience running alongside the sparkling ocean.  I will totally treasure this one!  As far as finisher medals go, I really don't think it can get any better than this.  Both the ribbon and medal say 'Half Marathon' with the race name, and the year and city/state are clearly marked as well on the medal face.  A phenomenal momento.

Race On The Base 10K Finisher's Medal - February 22, 2014

A fitting finisher's medal for a race located on a joint forces training base.  Love the informative ribbon, and the spinning star is a nice embellishment.  The year is clearly marked, however the race that I ran is not (the 10K).  I will say I'm delighted at its weight and size.  It's no flimsy dog tag.  This thing's got serious heft.  I think it sets itself apart from other medals with its creative theme.  I think it's the bomb, quite frankly.

The Great Race - Old Agoura 10K Finisher's Medal - March 22, 2014

Whoa momma this sucker is ginormous.  It's got heft, sparkly glitter infused into it, it's the size of my entire palm, and it has pretty much all of the information on it except for the race I ran (10K).  This is the largest race bling I've managed to get my hands on thus far.  The shape of it reminds me of Wonka's glass elevator, but no matter.  This thing looks good hanging on my neck.  End of story.

The OC Half Marathon Finisher's Medal - May 4, 2014

"Run it, Experience it, Love it."  Yep, I sure did.  And I sure do.  This medal signifies one of the best races of my life up to this point.  I PR'd at 2:37, I got past a year anniversary of a bummer life event, and I had a beautiful day overall.  I will never forget this race and the joy (and free carton of chocolate milk) it gave me.  This medal is the second of my Beach Cities Series (Surf City being the first).  One more and I get a fourth humongoid medal.  This. Is. FUN.

Live Ultimate Run Quarter Marathon Finisher's Medal - May 25, 2014

This medal is pretty sweet - it's got the logo cut out of it, the ribbon is informative and shows the date, and the race distances are displayed (although I always believe the longer the distance, the bigger the medal should be - so...point deducted).  I ran the quarter marathon and felt this was more than a sufficient memento of the effort.  Spent a fun morning downtown and got some patriotic bling.  Nice!

Laguna Hills Half Marathon Finisher's Medal - May 26, 2014

Killer bling - I love the camouflage ribbon and transparent blue filler in the center of the medal.  This medal exceeded all of my expectations and is a fine addition to my collection!
